Our expertise
On a daily basis, our artists and designers strive to share our passion with millions of visitors from all over the world. At the heart of any all-consuming passion is a search for aesthetic beauty. Like the great fashion houses, the team at Puy du Fou considers each project to be a work of art. The greatest attention is paid to the smallest details, and the highest standards are maintained in order to achieve the desired level of excellence. That is the key to Puy du Fou’s success!
100% PUY DU FOU
At Puy du Fou, every project is a unique and original work. Each new show is carefully crafted, taking 3 to 5 years work before it opens to the public. No detail is left to chance, which is a price worth paying to achieve excellence. From the blank sheet of paper to the script, the scenery to the costumes, the soundtracks to the machinery and special effects - everything is conceived, designed and produced by the Puy du Fou team so that artistic unity can be guaranteed.
Above any technical or marketing considerations, each show is primarily an innovative artistic project. At Puy du Fou, we offer visitors things they may like, rather than things they already like! We aim to surprise them by introducing them to previously unknown artistic worlds. The selection of new creative projects is not influenced by market research. The artistic team, working with Philippe de Villiers, relies on its imagination alone.
70 TRADES
At Puy du Fou, more than 70 trades are brought together to work on the design of our shows. Screenwriters, designers, costumiers, animal trainers, stuntmen, technicians and gardeners (among others), all pool their expertise and skills to create new spectacles.
Today, Puy du Fou has a wide range of experienced and leading experts in all fields. They conceive, design, create, direct and produce each new creation from start to finish. Trained at Puy du Fou, our specialists bring our stories to life and make the craziest challenges possible. There is no shop in the world that can supply things like an 18 metre-high keep that can move on its own, a 20-metre-long Viking longboat that emerges from the water, 50 horses trained to recreate Ben Hur's chariot race live 3 times a day, or a show venue with seating that rotates through 360°. All these feats are everyday occurrences at Puy du Fou, thanks to the talented men and women who give their very best to make every dream possible.
WORLD-WIDE RECOGNITION
This creativity and artistic quality has been rewarded in Los Angeles and Orlando with the most prestigious prizes in the world. Our expertise is now sought in many countries, where we advise on the design of parks and shows inspired by the Puy du Fou model.
