Did you know the Atlantic coast, from southern Brittany to Ré Island, has more than 300 miles of coast, famous holiday resorts like La Baule, Les Sables d'Olonne, Saint Jean-de-Monts, and two islands, the jewels of Vendée, which are Noirmoutier and Yeu Island? If you don't yet know La Rochelle, you're sure to be own over by its old harbour, its picturesque lanes and its aquarium, which is home to over 600 species. No need to worry about traffic jams, as you can easily reach Puy du Fou by plane, train or directly car on the A87 motorway
By car, Puy du Fou is very easily accessible from the A87 motorway, just a few minutes from exit 28 the most common route for people coming from Paris, Bordeaux or Rennes.
If you take the ferry from the United Kingdom, from Portsmouth, Poole or Plymouth and disembark in Brittany or Normandy when you arrive in France, you will only have to drive 3 hours from Saint-Malo or Caen, or 4 hours from Cherbourg and Roscoff, to get to France's Favourite Park.
If you opt to fly, Nantes Atlantique Airport is less than 60 minutes from Puy du Fou. Regular flights from London Gatwick, London Stansted, Bristol, Manchester, Brimingham, Edinburg and Dublin are scheduled regularly. One you land, you will just need to hire a car or take a private shuttle (booking required) to reach the park entrances in 1 hour and begin your journey through time.
If you opt to come by train, we strongly recommend alighting at Angers Saint-Laud TGV station and taking the shuttle service to Puy du Fou. Every day there are three transfers back and forth between the station and the park entrances and hotels, with a journey time of one hour (booking required).
There is a TGV high-speed train between Angers et paris which takes 1h40. So from London, just book your seat on the Eurostar to paris (alighting at Gare du Nord), then head to Gare Montparnasse station to catch a train to Angers.
